Each Fruit Bowl is constructed from a single panel of birch wood. Using a technique developed by Aharon, we soften the wood with steam, cut slits into each side, fold the sections along the slits, and install rivets to hold the folds in place. The wood hardens into a gently sculpted concave shape, which our artists paint by hand. For the finishing touch, we apply two layers of food-safe acrylic elastic lacquer to the top & bottom.

The Fruit Bowl rests stably on a flat half-inch thick base (pictured here) and is ready to hold an array of fruit, nuts, candies, napkins, business cards or anything else you choose.
