and Aharon named their company after a large Australian bird-what many call the
Cockatoo. Kakadu is also a region in the Northern Territory of Australia. Home
to hundreds of Aborigines, the area has a wide range of wetland and woodland ecosystems,
with many rare species of birds and animals. It also contains some of Australia's
earliest art-Aboriginal rock paintings that are tens of thousands of years old.
In Israel, the
name Kakadu has become so well known and closely associated with the company's
unique style that many people believe Kakadu's characteristic bird motif (Feefa)
is a cockatoo. In reality, however, the Feefa design came entirely from Reut's
imagination, and is not based on the cockatoo at all.
